History and funding of our lab

The ICPMS lab at Charles University started in 1997 with funding of the PHARE project CZ 9503-01, lot 23. While PHARE has provided funds for the ICP mass spectrometer, laser microprobe and several accessories for the instrument, the Faculty of Science at Charles University has helped with building a suitable laboratory space that now hosts not only the instrument, but also three additional labs for sample preparation and a balance room. Over the years, as the lab expanded, we have received a continuous university support as well as funding from the Grant Agency of the Czech Republic, Charles University Grant Agency and Ministry of Education.
The ICPMS laboratory at Charles University now provides analytical service for university research, student projects and a variety of external cooperators.
