Creating of graphs: different types of 2-D graphs, axes, plots, multiple axes, multiple plots, descriptive statistics, regression analysis, calculation within graph, graph formating. Construction of grid-based maps. The gridding methods, geostatistical approach, variogram analysis, grid file processing and analysis. Contour map, vector map, wireframe map, shaded relief map, image map. Boundaries and base maps. Creating cross sections. The use of graphs and maps within the text editor and in presentations.

The software Grapher and Surfer (Golden Software, US) is used.
