CUPGS

A word from the president:

Welcome to the website of the Charles University in Prague Geophysical Society (CUPGS), a student chapter of SEG. Department of Applied Geophysics (DAG) as a part of the Faculty of Science is a higher education and research institute located in Prague. Its research programs focus on all the aspects of geophysics. The department also offers a wide range of undergraduate and postgraduate courses and PhD programs. The members of this student chapter are first or second year master students and PhD students.

We decided to establish this chapter in order to represent DAG's students in the famous Society of Exploration Geophysicists (SEG). Our goal is to create a platform where the students can meet, exchange ideas and initiate activities supported by the SEG. We would like to organise local student events such as workshops, short courses or field trips.
