This prestigious event, hosted by the <strong>Italian Society of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology (SIB)<\/strong>, brought together scientists from around the world to discuss the latest advancements in biochemistry and molecular biology under the theme <em>&#8220;Mining Biochemistry for Human Health and Well-being.&#8221;<\/em><\/p>\n\n    <p><strong>Celeste Abreu<\/strong> presented her research on <strong style=\"color:#8B0000;\">\u201cOptimizing the production of recombinant human Galectin-1: a general protocol for maintaining stability and lectin activity in the long run\u201d<\/strong>, focusing on the functional and structural characterisation of <strong>Galectin-1<\/strong>, a protein involved in various human pathologies and relevant to immunotherapy. <strong>Ond\u0159ej Sko\u0159epa<\/strong> contributed with his study on <strong style=\"color:#8B0000;\">\u201cElucidation of the structure of NKp30 receptor oligomers\u201d<\/strong>, which examines how <strong>NKp30<\/strong> glycosylation and oligomerisation influence <strong>NK cell activity<\/strong>, with potential implications for designing novel anti-cancer strategies.<\/p>\n\n    <p style=\"color:#5A5A5A; font-style: italic;\">Abreu C., Koz\u00e1k J., Hofbauerov\u00e1 K., Kopeck\u00fd V.
