Prof. Frank Bradke<\/strong> is a leading scientist in the field of neurobiology. He is a group leader at DZNE (German Center for Neurodegenerative Diseases) while also teaching as a professor at the University of Bonn. Frank’s laboratory is focused on axonal growth<\/strong> research and the cytoskeleton’s role in this process. They are searching for possible ways to influence the cytoskeleton to promote neuronal regeneration in disease and after injury. They pioneer imaging techniques to image growing neurons in living tissues. Apart from science, Frank enjoys cakes, cycling, and picking olives in Italy.

Prof. Petra Hajkova<\/strong> is a prominent scientist at the MRC Laboratory of Medical Sciences (LMS), specializing in epigenetic reprogramming. With a background in Molecular genetics, she earned her Ph.D. from the Max Planck Institute before joining LMS.
Her group now is studying the reprogramming events both in the developing mouse germ line and in the mouse zygote.
Their main research focus is trying to understand molecular processes that underlie the global erasure of epigenetic information<\/strong> specifically :
1) The\u00a0erasure and dynamics of DNA modifications\u00a0during these processes and
2) the\u00a0chromatin assembly\/disassembly and underlying histone dynamics.<\/p><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n
