Iva’s Research Stay at Oxford

Iva joined the laboratory of Professor Fiona Powrie at the University of Oxford for her research internship.

The Powrie Lab is at the forefront of mucosal immunology, using both basic and translational science to investigate how the host and microbes communicate in health and disease. Their work focuses heavily on understanding the mechanisms behind inflammatory bowel diseases (IBD), colorectal cancer, and inflammatory arthritis. This stay will provided Iva with incredible technical training and fresh perspectives that will undoubtedly enrich our own lab’s projects
