The Map Collection of the Faculty of Science
The Map Collection is a university collection for science, research and education. It serves the academic employees and students of Charles University as well as the professional and lay public. There are more than 68 000 bibliographic records in the electronic catalog. Maps digitized within the TEMAP project are available in the Kramerius Digital Library of Charles University and the Digital Map Collection.
The Map and Data Centre (MDC)
The Map and Data Centre (MDC) is a specialized unit within the Geographical Institute, Faculty of Science, Charles University. The MDC focuses on the integrated management and sharing of scientific data, with a particular emphasis on spatial data. Alongside supporting research teams and creating advanced visualizations, the MDC is engaged in its own professional projects and teaching activities.
One of the core activities of the MDC is the development and management of DataHub, its dedicated data and map portal. Originally created as a data catalogue and repository for the staff and students of the Faculty of Arts, DataHub also offers a range of interactive outputs, including map applications, dashboards, story maps, traditional cartographic works, and didactic materials.
