Abstract: This work is focusing on the analysis of the time series on the territory of Mongolia to identify a suitable location for reintroduction of the Przewalski’s horse into the wild. The first part of the thesis deals with processing and analysis of the time series and the cloud-based technology. In the second part of the work, totally ten potential localities were chosen for reintroduction in the area of interest Numrug with use of cloud-based platform Google Earth Engine. Two other locations were chosen in the area of interest Gobi B, where the reintroduction had already been carried out. For these selected locations, the time series of Landsat 8 satellite optical images between 2013 and 2021 were observed. Individual locations were compared based on four indexes NDVI, EVI, NDMI, NDSI and measurements of precipitations and temperatures. Differences between the locations were detected using Mann-Whitney test. The results were used to recommend specific locations suitable for possible reintroduction. The thesis also contains classifications of the two areas of interest in 2021using the CART method and Landsat 8 data. In both cases, the overall accuracy exceeded 80% and the Kappa index was 0.6 and higher.
