North Bohemian coal mine, visit to reclaimed area after large open cast mining operations for lignite – tour of a gothic cathedral that was in 1975 moved unbroken on a distance of 875 m using a unique technology of transport.

Teplice Spa – one of the most famous Bohemian thermal radioactive spa where the beginnings of mining hydrogeology were laid – information on the history of water breakout in the Döllinger mine in 1879, remedial and reconstruction measures undertaken by then, and impact of the event on spa and mining operations.

Dinner and overnight at Liberec
Saturday: June 7
Transfer to Stráž pod Ralskem – former center of huge mining operations for uranium. Acquaintance with a unique and successful coincidence of underground mining for uranium and also its underground leaching and extraction using surface boring. The issue of liquidation of negative impacts of these operations on the local and broader environment
Drive to Kutná Hora – a town included in the UNESCO World Cultural Heritage List – the town where silver was mined since the 12th century. Tour of St.Barbara cathedral (1381) and royal mint (Italian Court), visit to underground medieval mine.
Dinner and overnight in Kutná Hora
Sunday: June 8
Transfer to the Konopiště castle – tour of the baroque residence of Franz Ferdinand d´Este the last archduke of Habsburg dynasty - see - http://www.zamek-konopiste.cz/index.php?jaz=ENG&ID=0
Luch at the castle, departure for Prague
