Never Too Early to Start Cloning

Matilda Vyhnálková, a high school student, worked in our lab during 2025 and 2026. She successfully cloned her first plasmid and mastered PCR, plasmid minipreps from E. coli, all the key steps of molecular cloning, and bacterial transformation. Proof that you don’t need a university degree to start cloning – you just need curiosity, patience, and some cooperative bacteria! 🙂
