Visit in Pražské vodovody a kanalizace

For students in the advanced microbiology course Fyziologie bakterií II, we organized a visit to the microbiology laboratories at Pražské vodovody a kanalizace. We learned about procedures used to screen drinking water for the potential presence of microorganisms, coliphages and saw how water from the Vltava River can be full of algae. The students were interested in potential job opportunities and overall, the visit was very interesting.
