Available Objectives (Dry Objectives)

The system utilizes high numerical aperture objectives for maximum resolution and speed without the need for immersion.

  • 2.5x/0.12 Fluar
  • 5x/0.25 Fluar (WD: 12.5 mm)
  • 10x/0.45 Plan-Apochromat (WD: 2.1 mm)
  • 20x/0.8 Plan-Apochromat (WD: 0.55 mm)
  • 40x/0.95 Plan-Apochromat (WD: 0.25 mm)
  • 20x/0.45 N-Achoplan pol

Cameras

  • Monochromatic Hamamatsu ORCA Flash 4.0 V3 (C13440-20CU)
  • Color camera Hitachi_FD 202 SCL. A high-resolution 3CCD color camera utilizing a prism and a 1.8-inch progressive scan sensor to deliver excellent color fidelity for brightfield virtual microscopy.

Analysis Software

  • ZEN lite: a lightweight version of native software for easy viewing and export. Windows only.
  • FIJI (FIJI Is Just ImageJ): ImageJ bundled with BioFormats Importer, capable of opening Axioscan data. There is a fundamental constraint in Java that allows opening images only up to approximately 40K x 40K pixels. However, the pyramid structure of files allows for opening a lower resolution or reading cropped regions only.
  • QuPath: An open-source software for image processing and analysis.
