News 2017:

November 2017: The first meeting of the Paleoclimate and Paleovolcanism Working Group of ICDP Eger was held in the Bayerisches Landesamt für Umwelt/Bavarian Environment Agency, Hans-Högn-Str. 12, Hof during 30.11.-01.12. 2017. The agenda of the meeting included presentation and discussion of new scientific results from the investigations of the Neualbenreuth drill core and geophysical and geological mapping and discussion of steps in preparation of future drilling activities.

October 2017: The first seismological borehole Tisová S2 was drilled in cooperation and co-sponsoring with the industrial partner. It reached the depth of 484 m with full-length coring and steel casing. PI representatives met on the site at this occasion.
















July 2017: The meeting of the PI representatives at GFZ German Research Centre for Geosciences, Potsdam with the representative of ASIR seismometers as potential candidates for seismic borehole monitoring.

June 2017: The meeting of the PI representatives took place at the University of Leipzig. Discussed topics covered current state of ICDP drill site preparation, fluid monitoring and possibilities in instrumentation for seismic and fluid monitoring.
