Slope stability under changing environmental conditions

Numerical modelling · Constitutive modelling · Climate forcing · FEM

This research direction focuses on slope stability under changing environmental conditions, including variations in groundwater regime, temperature and long-term climatic loading. The aim is to analyse how external environmental factors influence shear strength and in natural and engineered slopes. The research combines numerical stability analyses with constitutive modelling and climate-related boundary conditions to better understand the long-term evolution of slope safety and the mechanisms that may lead to reactivation.
