Welcome to the Surface-modified optical processes group. Our group is a part of the Department of Macromolecular Chemistry, Faculty of Science, Charles University, Prague.

The main research area of our group is based on preparation and characterisation of metal nanostructures (Ag, Au, Pd, Pt, bimetallic, etc.) and on study of surface-modified optical processes of adsorbates localized on the surface of the prepared nanostructures.


Principal research interest:

physical, inorganic and material chemistry, nanoscience (with focus on plasmonics), molecular spectroscopy: Surface Enhanced Raman Scattering (SERS) and resonance Raman spectroscopy, surface-modified luminescence, UV/vis and IR absorption spectroscopy; metal-based nanostructured materials: fabrication, morphology and optical responses, surface and interface phenomena - surface-enhanced optical processes, interphase transfer, adsorption of molecules on metal surfaces, molecule-mediated assembling of plasmonic metal  nanoparticles.
