Max Švabinský
was born in September 17th, 1873 in Kroměříž, died in
February 10th, 1962 in Prague. Draughtsman, graphic artist, painter, professor
in Academy of Graphis Arts in Prague, Author of post stamps, Czechoslovak
banknotes, windows in St. Vitus Cathedral and a mosaic for the Memorial of
National Liberation. From 1897 up to 1960 he made 27 exlibris, mostly by the
technique of lithography.
