Our group leader presents at XX. Discussions in Structural Molecular Biology
From 21–23 March 2024, the annual XX. Discussions in Structural Molecular Biology and the 7th User Meeting of CIISB took place at Nový Zámek in Nové Hrady, South Bohemia. The event brought together experts in molecular biology to discuss the latest advancements in the field.

Here, our research group leader Ondřej Vaněk delivered a presentation named Structural immunology of (super)natural killer cell receptor-ligand recognition.
The presentation focused on how NK cells distinguish and eliminate damaged or infected cells. Using structural and biophysical methods, we have revealed how weak receptor-ligand interactions are enhanced through oligomerization and clustering within the immune synapse, increasing overall binding strength.
