Invited talk at the 2nd Immunotherapy Day

On 30th May 2024, our research group leader Ondřej Vaněk presented at the 2nd Immunotherapy Day at ÚHKT, Prague, a conference dedicated to advancements in cellular immunotherapy. The event brought together researchers from the Czech Republic and Finland to exchange insights on the development, production, and clinical application of immune cell therapies.

Ondřej Vaněk’s presentation, “NK cell receptor-based immunotherapy of cancer: avidity instead of affinity?”, explored the potential of natural killer (NK) cell receptors in cancer immunotherapy, highlighting how targeting avidity—the cumulative strength of multiple weak interactions—could enhance therapeutic efficacy compared to traditional affinity-based approaches.
