Prague field trip
All participants are welcome to join one of the offered field trips in Prague on Thursday 24 September . Each of them explores Prague from a different angle. Big walk through little quarter shows you one of the oldest city districts through the eyes of homeless guide Pepa. Industrial Holešovice takes you for a walk from an industrial neighbourhood to a modern city district. Architectural icons presents some of the most iconic buildings built after 1990 by world-renowned architects. Tour in Lužiny- living in postsocialist spaces presents one of the younger housing estates in Prague and an interesting context of its construction.

It is possible to choose only one option (the field trips will be held simultaneously). Please register via this registration form till Tuesday 22 September 12 p.m. Then the online registration will be closed. Any additional registrations or changes of preferences will be possible at the registration desk. Please note that the registration works on the first come, first served basis.

Big walk through little quarter - experience Prague through the eyes of homeless people
This tour explores one of the most historic and picturesque parts of Prague - Malá Strana (Lesser Town) and Hradčany. Guide Pepa shows us the hidden corners of the area, tells us something about the history and shares his personal experiences from the neighbourhood.

Holešovice – guided tour from industrial neighbourhood to modern city district
Holešovice is a former industrial neighbourhood with the most important Prague´s port. One can still feel the atmosphere of old smoking factories with their sidings and burning boilers. This vital neighborhood with residential and commercial development is currently undergoing a significant transformation into a modern city district.

Architectural icons - guided tour in selected buildings and/or their surroundings
The tour visits some of the most important buildings of modern era of Prague´s architecture. The start is at Palac Karlin (designed by Ricardo Bofill Levi) - the prestigious prize "Best of Reality 2000" awarded to the building emphasises the quality and function of Palac Karlin. The tour then follows to Forum Karlin (designed by Ricardo Bofill Levi) - a multifunctional complex with offices and auditorium that is big enough for 3,000 people and suitable for cultural, social or specialist events of all types. The excursion continues to Anděl and its symbol of revitalization - Golden angel (designed by Jean Nouvel). The final point of the tour is a landmark of Prague architecture - Dancing building (designed by Frank Gehry and Vlado Milunic).

Lužiny - living in postsocialist spaces
The walk will take us through one of the large housing estates built under the last decade of state socialism in Czechoslovakia. We will trace the history of the housing estate together with the transport infrastructure (metro) including some of the gendered unintended consequences of the construction process. We will also track public art still surviving at the site, ponder its symbolism as well as its past and current function
