Research interests: cognition, conservation biology, ethology, evolutionary psychology, neuroscience

Current projects: cognitive ecology and ethology of geckos and birds, relationship between cognition and personality, antipredator behaviour, learning and memory in context of aposematism, hybridization in reptiles, positive and negative emotions evoked by animals, mechanism of animal phobias, evolutionary phenomenon of snake fear, physiological and neural correlates of human emotions elicited by animals.
