And so the adventure begins

In January 2023, we were given the opportunity to move to a laboratory at Vinicna 5 and establish our own group. The laboratory was indeed beautiful, but the only problem was that it had absolutely nothing in it besides furniture. We thought we’d hit the jackpot when we applied for the university grant, PRIMUS, which is intended for new scientific groups. But, Lady Luck wasn’t on our side – no PRIMUS for us. That was quite a challenge.

In the end, the department provided us with basic equipment as part of their investments. We borrowed a lot of things, and we received a lot of unused laboratory glassware – a big thank you to everyone who helped us! And also to eBay for their second-hand laboratory equipment!
